Yup, that's me! (IYKYK)

I'm 24 years old and if you haven't noticed by now, I LOVE FOOD. I own a food service business called D.R.E.A.M Kitchen, I have a food and lifestyle blog called D.R.E.A.M: The BRAND, and I am currently the head chef at a cute little restaurant called Bakery Bar that's tucked away in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans, LA.

I started D.R.E.A.M kitchen in college with no experience, whatsoever, in the business or culinary realm. Yes, you read that correctly, I did not go to culinary school. However, my passion for food runs deep. I've always loved to cook, but during college I got a chance to truly showcase my talents by cooking for other people. It was my junior when I moved into the on campus apartments of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La. I barely had a meal plan, but it didn't matter because I had something better: FOOD STAMPS!!! This was my chance to explore new, higher quality ingredients and not have to worry about spending my actual money. That gave me a sense of security as well because let's face it, being a broke college student is hard.

I began experimenting and feeding my roommates, co-workers, random people, etc. The look on their faces every time they ate my food was something that warmed my heart constantly and I never wanted to stop experiencing that. So I made it my business to make sure I didn't, literally.

D.R.E.A.M stands for Driven, Resilient, Educated, Ambitious, and Motivated. 5 words that describe my mentality while trying to make my dreams a reality. (haha that rhymed) My journey hasn't been easy, but I'm grateful for every part of it.
